Nestled in the Grand Valley, on the far west side of Colorado, Grand Junction holds more than enough spectacular views and local friendly charm for everyone. It's definitely a place worth living or visiting.
There is plenty to see and do with great restaurants, movie theaters, Bananas Fun Park, Mesa State College, a Botanical Gardens, an Art Center, the Colorado National Monument, the Grand Mesa, Powderhorn Ski Resort (only an hour away), a Farmer's Market, a charming downtown, and an abundance of Wineries, (if you've never tried Mead, an alcoholic drink of fermented honey and water, you should make sure to visit the local Meadery in Palisade.
Not sure where to start with restaurants? 626 on Rood is an upscale bistro located downtown with cuisine and drinks that will not only knock your socks off, but your shoes as well. In the mood for sushi? No Coast Sushi, Suhieros or Zen Garden are worth trying. Need a tasty beer and some good company? Go to the Ale House, Rockslide Brewery or the Blue Moon. Main Street Bagels can always help kick start your day with fresh coffee and homemade bagels. There are plenty of chain restaurants but I feel the local places always have more personality and enjoyment in them.
There is plenty to do outdoors: biking, hiking, fishing, hunting, snowboarding, skiing, rafting, golfing, dirt biking, rock climbing and whitewater rafting nearby in Glenwood Springs. If you can think of it, we probably have it.
Need a break from the warm local atmosphere and want something more face paced? Denver and Salt Lake are both approximately a four hour drive. The ski resorts range from a one to three hour drive. Grand Junction is sure to please all ages and all tastes. Give us a try today!
