About Cameron Velastegui

My name is Cameron Velastegui, born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. I am 25 years old and am surrounded by family and friends in the mortgage/real estate world. When I am not working, I spend my free time creating and enjoying music of all genres. I have a huge passion for traveling and meeting new faces. I enjoy challenging myself and helping others achieve their dreams of home ownership.

Cameron’s Qualifications

After working in sales while finishing my degree for business & communication, I decided to make the transition into the mortgage/real estate industry. With the majority of my family members being in the two industries, I had a lot of help with getting on my feet and running. After just a few years in the mortgage industry, I quickly realized that this is something I would love to do for the long term. My career as a Loan Officer started out at Quicken Loans/Rocket Mortgage. Due to new doors opening, which offered more of a team-based environment and a family feel, I knew that Major Mortgage was going to be a great fit for me.

Cameron’s Areas Of Expertise

My passion starts with helping others in all aspects. While being able to meet people from all around the world, every situation is as unique as the person. Not one is the same. When it comes to lending, I specifically enjoy accomplishing first-time homebuyers’ goals of home ownership which is usually one of the largest milestones in life. I also love the challenge of finding the best angles for handling refinances when taking out equity or finding the most competitive rate. The best part of my job is being able to walk others through this exciting process and get one step closer to financial freedom.

Roadmap To Your New Home Loan

Step One: Pre-Qualification

We will have you fill out an application on our website. This will allow us to pull credit. We will also collect income and asset documentation to make sure you have a solid pre-qualification. Once you are pre-qualified, we can give you an idea of the price range of house you can afford, so that you can start house shopping!

Step Two: House Shopping

Once you have been pre-qualified, you can contact your agent or realtor and start shopping for houses you like in the range you can afford. Once you find a house you want, you will make an offer and we will begin the process of setting up your loan.

Step Three: Setup and Processing

Once your loan moves to processing we will be updating and verifying all of the information you provided to us at pre-qualification. We will also order and appraisal, title work and insurance for your property. Keep an eye out for communications from us so that you can help us make the process faster. Processing will analyze your situation and prepare your loan for Underwriting.

Step Four: Underwriting

Once your loan has made it through processing it will move to our Underwriting Department. Underwriting will review your loan and all documentation to verify that it meets all guidelines and make sure everything is in the clear for closing.

Step Five: Closing

You will receive closing instructions with the day, time, and location of your closing. You will also receive a Closing Disclosure 3 days before you loan closing date that you will need to sign so keep a look out for it.

Step Six: You’re A Homeowner!

Congratulations! You’re A New Homeowner!
